Bio

I'm a British pianist who graduated with a Master’s cum laude at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, studying under prof. Peep Lassmann, a student of the legendary Russian pianist Emil Gilels. I am humbled to have received 2nd Prize at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition 2020, 2nd Prize at the Callegaro International Piano Competition 2020, 2nd Prize at the Progressive Musicians Online Classics Competition, 3rd Prize at the 5th ODIN International Music Online Competition 2020, and 3rd Prize at the Theodor Stein Competition 2019. I've given recitals as a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist in the UK, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Spain, with a recording featured on Latvian state TV channel LTV1. I received a BMus (Hons) from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on scholarship, and was invited to spend an Erasmus year at the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki, studying under renowned Finnish pianist Juhanni Lagerspetz.

Since 2007, I’ve worked with private students in the UK, Finland and Estonia, where I was also employed as a piano teacher by the Marjamaa Music and Art School. I now teach privately in London, and in partnership with the prestigious London Russian Music Academy. Every student has a unique relationship to music making, and I firmly believe that piano playing can be accomplished by anyone. With experience teaching students of all ages from a variety of backgrounds, I can offer you an innovative and flexible teaching method that will inspire and inform any budding musician. Whether you or your child are a complete beginner, wish to pursue ABRSM graded exams, hone your existing piano skills, or simply immerse yourself in music, I will guide you through your process and help you discover your inner pianist !

As the founder, accompanist and manager of the Vocal Poems of the Baltics ensemble, I am always searching for new ideas within the Western Art Music sphere. My ensemble features singers from each of the Baltic states, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, presenting vocal works by their native composers, and has toured extensively with the support of the Estonian Cultural Endowment KULKA since May 2018. I've also premiered solo and chamber works in Estonia, Latvia and Spain, and am pursuing my interest in new music here in London.
